EXHIBITION OF OIL PAINTINGS SERVES UP A DELICIOUS AND PROVOCATIVE SLICE OF LIFE

Featuring Cindy Vojnovic works

Armed with a fresh, provocative approach to traditional subjects, Vojnovic sets out to reveal the things that she says “we are conditioned to ignore.” In “Wegman’s Parking Lot”, for example, a sunset spreads its glory above the heads of oblivious shoppers starting up their cars outside a busy supermarket. In “Pumpkin Time” a family excursion to the pumpkin farm takes on an air of mystery. Vojnovic paints her everyday world in a masterful, realistic style. Although it’s a world we all share, her paintings encourage the viewer to take a closer look at the mundane. Revealed by her skillful brush, freeway off-ramps and mall back-lots become infused with a subtle magic. Hand-bound catalogs of Vojnovic’s works will be available for sale at the show.
